Twas the validation that it’s ok & that things take time … the feeling that it’s good to have a say moving forward whether we take it or not is another story. Blessed be

Thank you Leo for sharing this…knowing we can grieve in our own way and on our own timeline was a big permission slip for me also.

The Top Five Regrets of the Dying by Bronnie Ware helped me understand how regrets can lead to grief, but it is not the same kind of grief one experiences when mourning the loss of a loved one. Instead, it is a grief for opportunities missed, potential unfulfilled, and authentic lives not fully lived. She highlights five key regrets, such as not living true to oneself or working too hard, that cause a deep reflection on how one’s life could have been different. This can result in a form of emotional grief, characterized by sadness, guilt, and a sense of loss for the life they wish they had lived.

As a student of psychology, observing patterns is something I learned a few years ago, and it has helped me in many ways to address the root causes rather than just trimming the surface. Of course, it didn’t happen overnight, it’s like becoming aware of your awareness. If left unresolved, it starts affecting physiological mechanisms and many other things. That's how it was for me.

Would love to read The Good Goodbye and understand what you have for me- Added to my Goodreads list. ✅

BTW Doc. the dog bark at 1:40 was such an immersive SFX that it made me pause and check my surroundings 😂.

Becoming aware of your awareness…so much yes to that, Alexarian. 🙌🏽 There’s a certain kind of tunnel vision we develop when deeply immersed in our grief and agony, that having the lens to see yourself outside of yourself helps so much in noticing when things feel blocked or stuck. I’m honored that you’ll be reading my book and would love to hear your takeaways. Lovebug’s sound effects aren’t in it, but she’s happy to contribute to other posts anytime 😂
